NSG America, Inc. Announces “End-to-End” component Solutions for Broadband Access

Somerset, NJ (March, 2006)

NSG America, creator of the SELFOC® Lens and the world’s leading supplier of Gradient Index Lenses, is introducing end-to-end component solutions for the broadband market at this year’s OFC/NFOEC show. NSG has expanded their line of Original Opti-Sourcing Services to include broadband optical component capabilities.

The key to NSG’s broadband line is their innovative approach to product positioning and development. By leveraging NSG’s core competency in materials and manufacturing, and using key partnerships, NSG is able to offer a “one-stop shop” for optical component services. This approach enables NSG to offer complete broadband solutions to its customers. The broadband platform includes capabilities such as: WDM couplers and modules for the OLT, fused fiber splitters for optical distribution, and WDM Detectors and active triplexers for the ONT.

NSG’s end-to-end solution for the broadband market is a comprehensive line of optical component capabilities specifically designed for the FTTx market. These products are fully outside plant qualified and service the many needs of the broadband market including Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), Fiber-to-the-Business (FTTB) and Fiber-to-the-Multi Dwelling Unit (FTT-MDU) applications.

Dr. Simin Cai, President and CEO for NSG America Inc. states “As part of NSG America’s strategy to do more for our customers through original Opti-Sourcing, we have listened to our customers’ requests and delivered an end-to-end solution for the broadband industry. We answered this request by advancing our own manufacturing capabilities and forging strategic partnerships to deliver a “one stop shop” of optical components.”
