Go!Foton to Distribute Sumita Optical Glass Products

San Diego, California – March 22, 2010

Go!Foton, formerly known as NSG America, will showcase Sumita Optical Glass’ products at OFC 2010.

Go!Foton was created through a management buyout of NSG Group’s telecommunication device business in 2009, and has quickly become a leading supplier for various optical materials and components because of its rich history of market penetration in the optical communications industry.

Sumita Optical Glass has built up a solid record of technical achievement since its establishment in 1953. Its product portfolio ranges from optical glass, fiber optics and functional glass materials for various applications, including industrial microscopes, fiberscopes, and special engineering glass for cameras, hard disk data storage devices and laser optical disc players and recorders.

The products that will be displayed at Go!Foton’s booth include aspheric micro lenses, micro lens arrays and others for the optical communications market. Sumita’s strength of precision molding technologies is clearly demonstrated by these various lens products.

Dr. Simin Cai, Go!Foton’s President and CEO says: “Sumita Optical Glass’ products are an excellent addition to the Go!Foton optical materials portfolio and provide the opportunity to bring new and innovative solutions to our customers. We look forward to working closely with the Sumita’s team”.

Mr. Toshiaki Sumita, CEO of Sumita Optical Glass comments: “We are very glad to work with Go!Foton to expand our market penetration in the Americas. I am sure, by working together with Go!Foton, we can deliver unique solutions to our overseas customers for their optical glass needs as we have been doing so for many years for our domestic customers”.
