The Go!Foton™ Interconnect (Go!Foton™ FSSC) is an in-fiber, spot size converting interconnect for convenient and efficient coupling of light from an optical fiber into a planar waveguide device, photodiode or other high numerical aperture (NA) waveguide. A vanishing-core fiber design allows light from a conventional low NA fiber to be coupled to another waveguide with much smaller mode field dimensions at high coupling efficiency. The Go!Foton™ FSSC can be used with an air gap but it also allows index-matching compounds to be used between the coupler and waveguide as opposed to microlens-based coupling in which an air gap is unavoidable. The Go!Foton™ FSSC is available in three basic polarization maintaining or polarizing variations.
Fiber!FAST™ ILU is an innovative MDU drop cable solution that allows service providers to bring FTTH service to existing MDU living units in a faster and easier fashion. Fiber!FAST™ ILU reduces a carrier’s installation costs and minimizes the disruption and aesthetic objections often associated with retrofitting service cables in existing MDU living units.
Fiber!FAST™ ILU consists of a new 900um drop cable with G657.B3 fiber, the most advanced bend optimized fiber manufactured. The translucent Fiber!FAST™ cable is easily attached to a variety of wall surfaces using simple and discrete plastic clips.
Designed and manufactured by Go!Foton, the pathway management toolkit provided with Fiber!FAST™ ILU includes a variety of these clips along with a small tube of specially formulated epoxy which can be applied at discrete points along the cable or smeared like painters caulk, resulting in a truly invisible installation that may be painted by the homeowner if desired. The unique design also provides exceptional mechanical protection when routing the optical drop cable around inside and outside corners. Often missing from other MDU cable solutions, corner protection prevents excessive bending and the formation of stress points on the cable.
GoFoton’s MPO/MTP multi-fiber jumpers deliver the performance and reliability needed in today’s demanding high-speed broadband and data networks. GoFoton’s MPO/MTP jumpers utilizes precision ferrules, precise housing dimension and metal guide pins to ensure fiber positioning when mating and give excellent performance. It was tested by Telcordia for compliance with GR-1435, Verizon TPR.9431, IEC-61754-7 and EIA/TIA-604-5.
